**Job Description**
Queen’s Communities and Place (QCAP), an AHSS Faculty flagship research initiative within the School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work, launched in November 2021 to support research partnerships between academics and partner communities. QCAP employs a “placebased” approach, leveraging local expertise, insight, and academic knowledge to develop and test novel solutions to complex problems, also facilitating collaboration with national and international partners to share knowledge and create sustainable partnerships. The SUMIT Community Research Officer will be based in QUB Communities and Place, working closely with Start360, the coordinating body for the SUMIT demonstrator site in Belfast. This role involves coordination, research, and community outreach within the regional SUMIT demonstrator site, ensuring close collaboration with SUMIT activity leads, partners, and stakeholders. The officer will ensure all SUMIT data needs are met to the highest ethical standards, undertake data collection, anonymisation, analysis, dissemination, and community outreach activities, prepare progress and output reports, and coordinate demonstrator project teams by assigning tasks to administration staff, setting deadlines, and ensuring efficient workflow for regional SUMIT activities. SUMIT is a project supported by PEACEPLUS, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.

**Skills & Abilities**
� High level of analytical capability.
� Prior experience of linking with key stakeholders and developing networks.
� Ability to contribute to broader management and administrative processes.
� Possess sufficient breadth and knowledge in Health & Social Care research methods and techniques, to work within SUMIT programme.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
� Social science or other relevant area (upper second class honours degree or Masters degree)
� Relevant subject (Ph.D.)

**Experience**
Other:
� Specific, relevant research experience working on a Project that relates to Health and Social Care services.
