**Job Description**
This Research Assistant Professor position within Lingnan University’s Department of Philosophy focuses on ethics, particularly population axiology and the ethics of technology. The role involves conducting high-impact research, publishing in leading journals, securing competitive grants, and teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The appointee will also contribute to the department’s research community, including initiatives related to Philosophy and AI, and support the Hong Kong Catastrophic Risk Centre.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Expertise in ethics, especially in relation to population axiology, the ethics of technology, and related philosophical problems
• Demonstrated capacity to obtain governmental grants
• Teaching experience at both undergraduate and taught master’s programme levels (definite advantage)
• Recipient of external grants (e.g., from a government body) (definite advantage)
**Qualifications**

• Related disciplines

• Obtained/been conferred a PhD degree or an equivalent qualification for no more than five years prior to the commencement of the appointment
