The Department of Philosophy at Lingnan University is seeking a Research Assistant Professor specializing in ethics, particularly population axiology, the ethics of technology, and related philosophical problems. The role primarily involves conducting research, publishing in leading international journals, securing competitive grants, and actively participating in the department’s research community, including initiatives linked to the new Philosophy and AI Programme and the Hong Kong Catastrophic Risk Centre. Responsibilities also include teaching three courses annually at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervising student projects, and fulfilling administrative duties.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Expertise in ethics (especially in relation to population axiology, the ethics of technology, and related philosophical problems).
• Record of publications in Philosophy, preferably in leading journals.
• Demonstrated capacity to obtain governmental grants.
• Teaching experience at both undergraduate and taught master’s programme levels (definite advantage).
• Recipient of external grants (e.g., from a government body) (definite advantage).
