Postdoctoral Research Associate

**Job Description**
The Jasper Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Texas at Tyler invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate. This position, supported by the Office of Research and supervised by Dr. Ning Wang, focuses on AI-driven materials discovery. The successful candidate will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop integrated molecular simulation and machine learning workflows. These efforts aim to accelerate the discovery of novel materials for applications in chemical separations, water treatment, and climate change mitigation. Candidates with backgrounds in molecular modeling (molecular dynamics or Monte Carlo simulations), computational chemistry, machine learning, enhanced sampling methods, or force field development are encouraged to apply.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Excellent abilities in molecular modeling and simulations (molecular dynamics or Monte Carlo simulations) and/or machine learning techniques.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and highly motivated.
• Strong scientific background.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Chemical Engineering
• Materials Science and Engineering
• Computer Science
• A related field (Ph.D)

**Experience**
Other:
• Research experience with artificial intelligence is preferred.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
• Subject to Texas Education Code Section 51.215, authorizing criminal history record information.
