Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Associate / Research Assistant

**Job Description**
The appointees will assist the project leader in a research project focused on “Explainable artificial intelligence in caring mobility.” This involves conducting research in XAI for intelligent and caring mobility systems, developing and implementing novel XAI algorithms, and managing multi-modal data. A key aspect of the role includes preparing research papers for publication. Additionally, the positions entail significant responsibilities in technology transfer, commercialization strategy development, partnership cultivation with industry and government bodies, resource integration, and project promotion to secure funding and enhance the project’s influence in applied fields.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Proven experience in technology transfer, innovation management, business development or a related area.
• Solid understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies.
• Strong capabilities in strategic analysis, negotiation, and project management.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong research background in machine learning, deep learning, human-computer interaction and XAI.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
• Proficiency in at least one deep learning framework (PyTorch/TensorFlow/JAX).
• Experience with Linux system operations, CUDA acceleration and Docker/Kubernetes containerisation deployment.
• Hands-on experience in data collection, processing and analysis.
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua.
• Attentive, meticulous and responsible.
• Strong communication and execution skills.
• Teamwork spirit.
• Preference for background in AI, computer science or human-computer interaction.

**Qualifications**
• Postdoctoral Fellow: Doctoral degree.
• Research Associate: Master’s degree or a good honours degree.
• Research Assistant: Honours degree or an equivalent qualification.

**Experience**
Experience Required:
• Postdoctoral Fellow: No more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application.
• Research Associate: Three or more years of research/relevant work experience.
