**Job Description**
The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the UC Irvine School of Medicine is seeking Postdoctoral Scholars/Fellows for anticipated occasional openings. This role involves conducting research under the general oversight of a faculty mentor, with a focus on ophthalmology diseases, visual sciences, and advancements in related technology. **Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Ph.D.
• M.D.
• M.D./Ph.D.
• Foreign equivalent of the above degrees
The doctoral degree is required at the time of hire; applicants may be working towards their Ph.D. at the time of application.
**Experience**
Other:
• All months of prior postdoc service will be counted towards the placement of the Postdoctoral Scholar at their initial experience level.
• Total service as a postdoctoral scholar cannot exceed five years, including prior postdoctoral service at other institutions (both domestic and foreign).
