**Job Description**
This PhD position is part of the NWO-funded SYNERGY project, a collaborative research initiative investigating the role of social dynamics in the energy transition. The project specifically focuses on how firms contribute to decentralized, sustainable energy systems. The PhD project will examine the governance models adopted for digital platforms that connect businesses with distributed energy resources in energy hubs, enabling energy sharing, reducing grid congestion, and enhancing sustainability. Key areas of investigation include the influence of internal social dynamics and local governments on governance models, and the impact of platform governance on energy hub implementation. The aim is to advance academic knowledge and make practical contributions to the energy transition.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• A Master’s degree in Organizational Studies, Business Administration, Public Administration, Environmental Studies, or a related social science discipline with an interest in energy systems (implied for Ph.D. eligibility)
