**Job Description**
This Ph.D. position, part of the NWO-funded SYNERGY project, investigates how firms contribute to decentralized, sustainable energy systems through digital platforms connecting businesses with distributed energy resources. The project focuses on the governance arrangements of energy hub platforms, which enable energy sharing, reduce grid congestion, and enhance sustainability. The Ph.D. project will specifically examine governance models, decision-making processes, coordination mechanisms, and the allocation of roles and risks among participating actors, within the context of decentralized energy systems and SMEs, with a focus on energy hubs in business parks. The research will address how social dynamics and local governments influence platform governance and its impact on implementation.
