**Job Description**
Applications are invited for a Senior Research Fellow / Research Fellow position within a multidisciplinary research program funded by the National Research Foundation (NRF) and the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), administered by the Singapore-HUJ Alliance for Research and Enterprise (SHARE). This collaborative initiative involves leading Principal Investigators from NUS, HUJ, A*STAR, RP, and NTU, focusing on aquaculture solutions. The successful candidate, preferably a bioinformatician or data scientist, will contribute to a multi-omics integration effort (transcriptomics, metagenomics, proteomics, and metabolomics data) in a project investigating stress response and resilience in fish, specifically Asian Seabass and laboratory model zebrafish. The overall goal is to use a multi-omics approach, combined with gut microbiome studies and multi-modal characterization of neurobiology, to develop a knowledge base for understanding stress resilience behaviours in farm conditions. The role involves working with a dynamic team spanning various specializations to develop novel multi-omics data integration strategies with significant impact.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Proven research track record with publications or preprints in relevant domains.
• Prior demonstrable experience in at least one or more of the following analyses: sc transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics.
• Strong bioinformatics background and/or familiarity with software programming, data analysis, and statistics.
• Demonstrable work, such as a GitHub Profile with history of project works.
• Ability to generate user-friendly scripts in R and Python for data visualization and analysis.
• Creative problem-solver with critical thinking skills.
