**Job Description**
The SUMIT Senior Community Research Fellow will supervise, manage, and coordinate the work of Community Research Fellows in SUMIT Demonstrator Sites. Responsibilities include implementing QUB-led SUMIT research activities, overseeing data and research needs with a focus on ethics and GDPR, coordinating complex data requirements for digital and evaluation activities, and ensuring high standards in line with QUB governance. The role involves disseminating research to academic and non-academic audiences, collating progress reports for funders, maintaining a personal research plan, publishing and presenting work, engaging in scholarly activity, and developing research proposals in collaboration with QCAP to contribute to the School’s research profile. SUMIT is a project supported by PEACEPLUS, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Managing and undertaking research activities in accordance with specific research plans
• Working in a collaborative project and/or leading on a specific work package within a research project
• Directing, coaching, and developing research staff
• Writing reports for a non-academic audience
• Designing, delivering, and assessing courses to relevant levels (undergraduate, postgraduate, higher research degrees)
• Working with non-academic organisations, particularly at the community level
• Working in a multi-disciplinary / multi-institutional project
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Social Science
• Other relevant area
**Experience**
Experience Required:
• Substantial post PhD experience
Other:
• Obtained an upper second class honours degree (or equivalent) or a Master’s degree in a social science or other relevant area
• Obtained a PhD in a relevant subject
• A publication record
