**Job Description**
Angelo State University’s Department of Computer Science is seeking highly motivated undergraduate students majoring in Computer Science or Cybersecurity to join a research and development team. This team will work on a U.S. Department of Defense-funded project in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, enhancing research and workforce development. Selected students will collaborate with faculty and researchers from Texas Tech University (TTU) and the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) to develop innovative solutions for national defense challenges, particularly in West Texas.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Knowledge of Python and SQL
• Strong interest in cybersecurity and AI research
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Coursework or experience in Cybersecurity, Data Science, AI, or Machine Learning (Preferred)
• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools or knowledge graph technologies (Preferred)
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Computer Science
• Cybersecurity
Other:
• U.S. citizenship required in accordance with federal contract requirements
• Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Computer Science or Cybersecurity program
• All students awarded assistantships must be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate coursework during their appointments.
