**Job Description**
This role as SUMIT Community Research Officer is co-located between Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) Communities and Place (QCAP) and the North-Eastern Drug and Alcohol Taskforce region. The successful candidate will provide coordination, research, and community outreach within the regional SUMIT demonstrator site (North-Eastern Region Drug and Alcohol Taskforce Ireland; Louth). They will ensure close collaboration with SUMIT activity leads, partners, and stakeholders, manage data to the highest ethical standards, and undertake various research and reporting activities, coordinating project teams and assigning tasks. SUMIT is a PEACEPLUS-supported project focused on a place-based approach to creating and testing novel solutions through research partnerships.
**Skills & Abilities**
• High level of analytical capability
• Prior experience of linking with key stakeholders and developing networks
• Ability to contribute to broader management and administrative processes
• Possess sufficient breadth and depth of specialist knowledge in Health and Social Care research methods and techniques
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Social Science or other relevant area (Upper second-class honours degree or equivalent, or Masters degree)
• Relevant subject (PhD, or about to obtain)
**Experience**
Experience Required:
• Specific, relevant research experience working on a project that relates to health and social care services
