**Job Description**
The Research Security Program Assistant supports the Director of Research Security in the Office of Research Security, ensuring compliance with applicable federal laws and regulations. This position provides support for the university’s Research Security program, assisting with information triage, investigations, training development and delivery related to foreign influence inquiries and concerns, recordkeeping, and overseeing campus-wide research security training compliance. The role requires discretion and judgment on matters of significance to the university’s mission, impacting auditing and legal compliance duties.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Generalized knowledge of federally funded research requirements.
• Experience with presentation tools such as PowerPoint, Google Sheets, etc.
• Experience with federal regulatory requirements or research compliance as they relate to research security including foreign influence and sponsor disclosure requirements (Preferred).
• Experience with developing training materials (Preferred).
• Experience with organizing information and data into a report (Preferred).
• Experience in higher education (Preferred).
• Experience working in a large complex organization such as a large university, hospital, or large-sized company/not-for-profit organization (Preferred).

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience)

**Experience**
Experience Required:
• 1 year (Bachelor’s degree) of full-time relevant responsible experience in research security compliance, sponsored programs, research, conflict of interest/commitment, undue foreign influence, or other appropriate administrative support background.
Other:
• In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of experience, any combination of relevant education and experience totaling five (5) years in research administration, research compliance, foreign influence, sponsored programs administration, or other appropriate administrative support background may be considered.
• U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other “protected individual” (as defined by 8 U.S.C. Sec. 1324b(a)(3)) due to U.S. Export Control laws and regulations.
