**Job Description**
The RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project (AIP), launched in April 2016, aims to achieve scientific breakthrough and contribute to societal welfare through innovative AI technologies. This includes addressing ethical, legal, and social issues, and developing human resources. The AI Computing Team explores the design and realization of advanced machine learning systems by working across multiple layers such as circuits, devices, architectures, and algorithms. This specifically involves investigating energy-efficient computer architecture for machine learning based on novel devices and computing principles, device-aware machine learning algorithms, and system architectures for large language model (LLM) inference serving. The selected candidate will conduct research on efficient AI computing technologies through the co-design of machine learning algorithms, software, and computing hardware.
