**Job Description**
This Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is part of the HYPERSONIC EIC project (HORIZON-EIC-2023-PATHFINDEROPEN-01), focusing on developing scalable, solution-processed 2D materials and covalently interconnected networks for next-generation electronic applications. The role involves advanced research into the solution processing of nanomaterials, including liquid exfoliation, printing techniques, comprehensive materials characterisation, and the study of electrical and device properties of printed films.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Expertise in 2D materials exfoliation, especially electrochemical methods.
• Proficiency in optimising nanosheet properties (e.g., aspect ratio, defect density, yield).
• Experience with 2DM ink preparation and deposition techniques (e.g., liquid-liquid interfacial deposition, inkjet, aerosol jet).
• Ability to characterise nanosheets and networks using advanced microscopy, spectroscopy, and electrical measurements.
• Knowledge of charge transport mechanisms in materials.
• Experience in fabricating and characterising nanosheet network-based electronic devices (e.g., TFTs).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with European project partners.
• Scientific record keeping, report writing, and presentation skills.
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Physics
• Materials Science
• Nanotechnology
• Related engineering or scientific discipline
**Experience**
Other:
• Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science, Nanotechnology, or a related scientific/engineering discipline.
