**Job Description**
This role involves supporting the development and evaluation of a research project focused on “Dragons of Afterlands,” an augmented reality board game designed as a peer-based digital mental health solution. The Research Fellow will conduct individual and team-based research, lead mixed-methods data collection with children, young people, and professionals, and contribute significantly to report writing, publications, and literature review development. The project aims to engage diverse stakeholders to explore social and digital learning, belonging, trust, peer learning, wellness, and mental health.

• Proven expertise in participatory or youth-led research.
• Experience of a range of research methods, including creative approaches with vulnerable groups.
• Skilled in analysing and presenting data.
• Ability to produce high-quality reports.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to diverse audiences.
• Confidence working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible and organised, with the ability to manage own workload.
• Ability to travel within the UK.
• Ability to work outside standard hours when needed.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, and to addressing bias in research practice.
• (Desirable) Experience with digital learning, social science and education theory.
• (Desirable) Experience conducting semi-structured interviews (including with children and young people with SEND).
• (Desirable) Experience writing for academic publication.
• (Desirable) Willingness to continue developing expertise in youth, child or disability studies.

Required Degree(s) in:
• Relevant discipline (Ph.D)
