**Job Description**
The University of Surrey is seeking a Research Associate in Experimental Nuclear Physics to contribute to its nuclear structure physics and nuclear astrophysics programs. The successful candidate will join a diverse group of researchers focusing on the overlap between nuclear structure and nuclear astrophysics, contributing to life-changing education and research within a global community.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Experience with data analysis using the ROOT analysis package (advantageous)
• Experience performing and analysing experiments with gamma-ray and charged-particle spectroscopy (advantageous)
• Knowledge of Coulomb excitation and/or gamma-ray spectroscopy of exotic nuclei (advantageous)

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Experimental Nuclear Physics
Other:
• A Ph.D in experimental nuclear physics (or nearing completion)
• A proven track record of contributions in nuclear physics, including preparation of manuscripts for publication and conference contributions
