**Job Description**
The Research Assistant I will help manage research projects within the Division of Cardiothoracic surgery. The research will primarily focus on the translation of gene therapies for heart failure.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Ability to design and conduct research experiments
• Data collection, compilation, and analysis
• Literature search and summarization
• Documentation and interpretation of experimental results
• Preparation of IACUC and IRB protocols
• Selection and evaluation of appropriate research procedures
• Animal handling and performance of cardiac surgeries
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Basic Science
• Related field
**Experience**
Experience Required:
• 2 years (relevant experience)
