**Job Description**
The Farzan laboratory combines B-cell editing technologies with novel vaccination antigens and strategies. The work involves modifying B-cell receptor loci of primary B cells, returning these edited cells to their host, and expanding them through immunization with mRNA vaccines to generate potent, bioavailable human antibodies in other species. This technology also serves to evaluate and improve vaccines, address unanswered questions in B-cell biology, and contributes to controlling infections, including HIV, through engineered B cells.
