**Job Description**
This role contributes to a translational research project focused on enhancing symptom monitoring and management for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS-D) patients. The project involves developing a novel, AI-enabled wearable device. Responsibilities include conducting clinical trials, collecting and analyzing biomedical data, training machine learning models for bowel sound classification, and supporting prototype refinement and software integration for eventual commercialization.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Proficiency in Python, R, or MATLAB for data analysis
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Data Science
• Computer Science
• Biological Sciences
**Experience**
Experience Required:
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in machine learning model development, preferably involving biomedical signals or clinical datasets
Other:
• Experience with IRB submissions and clinical trial coordination is preferred
