Key responsibilities include updating Dr. Gisèle Yasmeen’s existing background papers on topics such as Asian Urban Food Systems and Sustainable Livelihoods and Women’s Economic Empowerment, as well as assisting in building partnerships for the Max Bell School of Public Policy. The role aims to contribute to research and policy-related funding applications and potential program development, making it ideal for a student with strong research and writing skills interested in international affairs, food-systems, urbanization, and livelihoods.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong writing and analytical skills in English.
• Fluency in other languages, particularly French (asset).
• Experience with academic and policy-oriented research methods (e.g., literature reviews, policy analysis).
• Familiarity with academic databases (e.g., JSTOR, Google Scholar, Web of Science).
• Ability to use AI tools for effective research without plagiarism.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
