**Job Description**
This MRC-funded position, based in the Airway Innate Immunity Research group, involves the evaluation of a neutrophil-derived protease in neutrophil function. The role is suitable for a scientist with relevant research experience, encompassing independent research, supervision, planning, lab management, collaborations, and outreach.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Home Office modules 1-3
• Substantial recent research experience in immunology, biochemistry, or cell biology
• Extensive hands-on experience in evaluation of lung inflammation in in vivo mouse models
• Extensive hands-on experience in assays for innate immune responses including ELISAs and Western blotting
• Extensive hands-on experience in bone marrow cell isolation and maturation
• Extensive hands-on experience in flow cytometry
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Ph.D. in Immunology
• Ph.D. in Biochemistry
• Ph.D. in Cell Biology
• Ph.D. in a closely related area (*must be obtained within 3 months of commencement of employment)
