**Job Description**
This postdoctoral position focuses on investigating the SET gene as a dependency and therapeutic target in paediatric Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML). The project aims to improve overall survival in children with AML by employing an integrated molecular approach, including RNA-seq, ChiP-seq, mouse modelling, and gene silencing technology, building on the team’s recent discovery of SET’s significant correlation with worse outcomes in adult and paediatric AML.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Experience of working in the cancer signalling or related fields
• Expertise in working with mice
• Expertise in flow cytometry
• Expertise in mammalian cell culture
• Expertise in molecular biology techniques
• Experience with ChiP and Cut&Run (advantageous)
• Experience in leukaemia/haematopoietic stem cells (advantageous)
• Strong track-record of high-quality peer reviewed research
• Excellent communication skills with a very high level of written and spoken English
• Self-motivated, collaborative, independent thinker
• Excellent organisational skills needed to drive the project forward
• Genuine passion for research and for contributing to a supportive and inclusive research environment
