**Job Description**
This postdoctoral position, funded through Assistant Professor Aylin Aykanat’s start-up package in the Department of Chemistry, focuses on developing functional materials for environmental and biomedical applications. The role is critical for establishing the lab’s research capacity, fostering a collaborative, mentoring-focused environment for students, and leading high-level investigations into redox-active disulfide-based metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and coordination networks, with a particular focus on temperature- and redox-responsive polymorphism.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Expertise in synthetic inorganic or materials chemistry
• Proficiency with structural characterization techniques
• Experience in mentoring
• Experience in scientific communication
• Experience with computational modeling (preferred)

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Chemistry
• Related field (with expertise in synthetic inorganic or materials chemistry)
