**Job Description**
This postdoctoral position at the University of Luxembourg’s LCSB, within the Developmental and Cellular Biology Group led by Prof. Jens Schwamborn, focuses on utilizing human stem cells for in vitro modeling of neurodegeneration, specifically Parkinson’s Disease. The project aims to develop novel, complex organoid and assembloid models for the human brain to investigate the role of aged microglia in Parkinson’s Disease. The LCSB conducts fundamental and translational research in Systems Biology and Biomedicine, with a strong focus on neurodegenerative processes.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong background in human stem cell research.
• Proven experience in high content imaging.
• Proven experience in multi electrode array technology.
• Proven experience in reprogramming of somatic cells into pluripotency.
• Experience in computational image analysis (strong plus).
• Experience in aging research (strong plus).
• Willingness to take leadership and responsibility for the demanding project.
• Highly motivated and passionate for research.
• Interested in acquiring new skills.
• Ability to be part of an international team.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Medical sciences (Ph.D or equivalent)

• Experience in computational image analysis and aging research is a strong plus.
