**Job Description**
A full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the multidisciplinary auditory neuroscience research laboratory of Dr. Bibb in the Department of Translational Neuroscience at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix. The ideal candidate should possess experience performing research in a laboratory setting, have authored peer-reviewed research publications, be detail-oriented, conscientious, able to work independently as well as in a team under the direction of the principal investigator, and demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills. This position is eligible for visa sponsorship.

• Knowledge of coordinating experiments, and completing analysis, statistics, and interpretation.

• Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner orally and in writing.
• Ability to participate at scientific conferences and present findings.
• Knowledge of grant writing and manuscript preparation.
• Demonstrated ability to independently develop reports and manuscripts and present findings in tabular, oral, written, and/or graphic formats.
• Expertise in stereotaxic surgery and animal behavioral assessment.
• Experience with basic molecular biology and biochemical techniques, such as RNA isolation, electrophoresis, western blot analyses, RNAScope and qRT-PCR.
• Experience with multicolor flow cytometry.
• Experience with immunofluorescence high-resolution imaging.
• Experience with bioinformatics tools and analyses.

• Neurobiology
• Biophysics
• Molecular Biology
• Biochemistry
• Related field of study
