**Job Description**
The Song lab at the University of Arizona’s Department of Biomedical Engineering is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to advance regenerative therapies for spinal cord injury. The group, funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH), focuses on developing neuromodulation devices that integrate advanced materials science and stem cell therapy to evaluate their therapeutic potential for neurotrauma. The role involves conducting and analyzing experiments, contributing to research proposals, presentations, and publications, with mentorship provided by the principal investigator.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Ability to acquire new skills beyond current expertise to achieve project objectives.
• In-depth theoretical and practical knowledge in neurotrauma.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong work ethic, effective communication skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Strong scientific track record demonstrating well-organized design and execution of studies.
• Experience with cell biology, chemistry, and/or tissue engineering.
• Experience with cell culture.
• Experience with immunostaining, western blot, flow cytometry, ELISAs, qPCR, and microscopy.
• Experience with animal behavior, surgery, and tissue harvest.
