**Job Description**
The Chen lab at the University of Arizona’s Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to investigate the molecular mechanisms of lung infections (viral or fungal) and chronic lung diseases like asthma. Supported by NIH R01 grants, the lab focuses on molecular immunology and inflammatory mechanisms, utilizing advanced research models such as primary cell/organoid cultures, mouse models, and human clinical samples, alongside technologies like scRNA-seq and CRISPR. The Principal Investigator is committed to mentoring and career development for postdoctoral trainees.

**Skills & Abilities**
� Strong background knowledge in molecular and cellular biology techniques (qPCR, Western blot, CRISPR, etc.).
� Knowledge of general pathophysiology and molecular biology.
� Proficiency in data analysis.
� Strong problem-solving and experimental design skills.
� Excellent written and oral communication skills.
� Ability to work independently and in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
� Biochemistry
� Molecular Biology
� Immunology
� Related field

**Experience**
Other:
� Experience with in vitro cell models and in vivo animal models (viral/fungal)
� Expertise in immunology or prior research experience in lung disease models
� First-author publication(s) in high-impact journals
