The Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment at Princeton University is seeking applications for two interdisciplinary research positions focusing on analyzing and modeling the delivery of clean energy and industrial decarbonization infrastructure necessary for net-zero transitions. The role involves granular exploration of the development, investment decision-making, financing, and construction activities associated with large-scale infrastructure projects. The research aims to identify key interdependencies and bottlenecks in infrastructure deployment to accelerate the energy transition, initially focusing on the United States and Australia, with potential exploration in India, China, and other regions.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Experience with applied energy systems analysis
• Experience with economy-wide energy system decarbonization models
• Familiarity with infrastructure development and financing protocols (ideally)
• Domain expertise and proficiency with net-zero systems thinking
• Experience with a variety of programming languages
• Familiarity with critical path planning tools
• Experience working across disciplines and with industry (highly desirable)

Required Degree(s) in:
• Engineering
• Operations Research
