**Job Description**
The Postdoctoral Associate will collaborate on research focusing on the economics of afforestation in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). This research includes conducting a systematic review of survival rates in tree-planting programs, performing an impact evaluation of a large-scale tree-growing program in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and India, and analyzing financial incentives for smallholder tree growing in Ethiopia. The associate will work with Dr. Jeffrey R. Vincent, a research team, program staff, and researchers at The World Bank.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong quantitative skills, including impact evaluation methods, discrete choice experiments, systematic reviews, and meta-analysis.
• High levels of proficiency in associated software (e.g., Stata, R, Ngene).
• Knowledge of development economics.
• Basic proficiency related to geospatial analysis (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Engine) (Desired).
• Strong oral and written communication skills (Desired).
• Experience working with and managing interdisciplinary research teams and using project-management software (e.g., Slack) (Desired).
• Record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals (Desired).
