Post-Doctoral Fellow in Health Economics

**Job Description**
This Post-Doctoral Fellow position offers an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant, multidisciplinary rare disease research team within the LifeArc Centre for the Acceleration of Rare Disease Trials, based at Queens University Belfast (QUB). The role focuses on Health Economics and Life Cycle Health Technology Assessment for rare diseases, specifically investigating the implications of Risk Base Pricing for the design of on-market evidence generation and the Return on Investment for developers of therapies for ultra-orphan conditions. The successful candidate will collaborate with academic, clinical, and industrial partners, working directly with Professor Christopher McCabe and his team, and closely with Dr. Gurdeep Sagoo, to develop methods supporting the adoption of innovative therapies addressing severe unmet needs.

• Experience of undertaking systematic literature reviews of applied and methodological studies in the economic evaluation of health care programmes
• Experience of the development, validation, analysis and reporting of complex decision analytic cost effectiveness simulation models
• Experience of the application of advanced value of information analysis techniques
• Experience of project management, delivering research outcomes
• Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment as part of a research team
• A publication track record commensurate with the stage of career

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Health Economics
• Cognate Discipline
