**Job Description**
This project aims to develop digital twins for perishable biological products like vaccines within cold chain unit operations and to optimize other thermal processes, such as thermally-steered drug delivery in oncology. It involves using physics-based modeling, multi-parameter sensing, and measured air temperature/humidity data to create digital twins that can predict decay and optimize supply chain processes and therapeutic applications.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Proven experience in continuum modeling (finite element modeling, computational fluid dynamics).
• Proven experience with COMSOL Multiphysics.
• Knowledge of heat and mass transport processes in heat-sensitive materials and process optimization.
• Experience in hygrothermal measurements (temperature, infrared, anemometry) is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (both written and oral) are mandatory.
• Knowledge of German is considered advantageous.
• Flair for communicating with industrial and other partners.
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Mechanical Engineering
**Experience**
Other:
• Proven experience in continuum modeling (finite element modeling, computational fluid dynamics), and proven experience with COMSOL Multiphysics.
