**Job Description**
A Ph.D. position is available focusing on the structural elucidation of membrane protein complexes by integrating fundamental cell biology and structural biology using cryo-electron microscopy. The project will leverage the lab’s expertise in scramblases, membrane remodeling, and solute transport in ion channels, employing state-of-the-art purification methods, biochemical, biophysical, and cell biological assays, along with advanced AI tools like Alphafold 3.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Keen interest in eukaryotic cell biology, membrane proteins, and structural biology.
• Ability to work organized and independently.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong motivation and commitment to solve scientific problems.
• Curiosity-driven approach in work.
• Previous experience in mammalian cell culture (preferred).
• Previous experience in structural biology (cryo-EM) (preferred).
• Previous experience in membrane protein purification (preferred).

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Biochemistry
• Biophysics
• Related fields

**Experience**
Other:
• Previous experience in mammalian cell culture, structural biology (cryo-EM), or membrane protein purification will be preferred.
