**Job Description**
The Lead Researcher in Automation plays a crucial role within the Department of Chemical Biology and Therapeutics (CBT) at St. Jude, focusing on the design and operation of automated systems. This position is responsible for handling and managing the St. Jude Compound Collection, ensuring its availability, accurate identification, and efficient processing. The CBT Department is dedicated to formulating innovative chemical and chemoinformatic solutions for biological and medical problems, combining fundamental research with translational centers that offer cutting-edge biotech/pharma capabilities.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Experience using Titian Mosaic or other sample management software preferred.
• Experience managing or mentoring personnel is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge and experience in understanding and application of underlying principles related to techniques being performed.
• Experience in R&D methods and processes in a lab setting and execution of research projects for the laboratory preferred.
• Proven performance in an earlier or comparable role.
