The Digital Scholarship Specialist collaborates with students, faculty, staff, and librarians to enhance learning, teaching, and scholarship through the application of technologies and knowledge of digital research methods. This role involves facilitating a multifaceted Digital Scholarship Fellows program to meet campus needs and support interdisciplinary work, contributing to the sustainability of Digital Scholarship at the University of Michigan Library and across campus. The specialist will also support broader Digital Scholarship community stewardship and signature programs.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Experience with project management and program development, including planning, communication, and assessment.
• Experience teaching and consulting with individuals with varying levels of expertise and ability in technology use and experimentation.
• Demonstrated interest and capacity for developing and sustaining relationships within the Library, across campus, and beyond.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
• Demonstrated respect for and openness to a variety of perspectives and experiences.
• Committed to fostering a welcoming environment by recognizing and incorporating differing viewpoints, backgrounds, and ideas.
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• ALA-accredited master’s degree or equivalent combination of a relevant advanced degree and experience.
