**Job Description**
The University of Maryland Cardiac Surgery Research Unit (CRU) is actively seeking a dynamic Clinical Research Assistant to join its fast-paced clinical research team. Housed within The Maryland Heart Center’s Cardiac Surgery Division, the CRU is a fully integrated organization dedicated to advancing clinical research, discoveries, and innovations. The unit manages a broad spectrum of surgical studies, including those related to surgical coronary revascularization, mitral and aortic valve diseases, thoracic aortic disease, pediatric cardiac disease, LVAD, ECMO, and heart and lung transplant. This position is responsible for assisting with the coordination of day-to-day operations for various research studies or clinical trial protocols. Key duties involve coordinating data collection and maintenance, project evaluation, meeting scheduling, and interfacing with research subjects, while strictly adhering to good clinical practices, study protocols, and applicable regulations.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Scientific field of study related to the research of the clinical setting (Bachelor’s degree)
**Experience**
Experience Required:
• Prior clinical research experience (preferred)
