**Job Description**
This is a full-time, grant-funded position within the Early Childhood Education program. The Child Care Aide 2 operates under the close supervision of the Director and Lead Teacher, tasked with implementing program goals and classroom objectives, and performing all related work required for children ranging from six (6) weeks to five (5) years old.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Knowledge of instructional methods, materials and program operations for children aged six (6) weeks to five (5) years.
• Knowledge of recreational activities associated with creative play.
• Knowledge of the psychological and biological needs of children.
• Ability to make decisions, both within and without the guidelines of established procedures.
• Ability to react quickly and calmly in stressful situations.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the public, children, and other employees.
**Qualifications**
• High school diploma or equivalent.
**Experience**
Experience Required:
• 1 year (child care)
Other:
• Early Childhood Education Child Development Credential (CDA) or higher is preferred.
• Applicant is required to obtain CDA within 6 months.
