**Job Description**
The Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) at the University of Florida offers multiple Adjunct Clinical Postdoctoral Associate positions for the 2025-2026 academic year. This postdoctoral program provides advanced training in health service psychology within university counseling services, focusing on generalist positions with potential for specialization in Psychological Assessment, Intensive Support (Suicide Prevention and Intervention), and Alcohol and Other Drugs Prevention and Intervention. The program emphasizes adherence to APA competencies and mental health ethics, offering a blend of support and challenge for early career professionals to fulfill various roles of a university counseling center clinician.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Demonstrated ability to conduct brief psychotherapy and crisis intervention
• Knowledge of applicable laws and ethics pertaining to mental health fields in Florida
• Demonstrated skills in providing outreach and prevention services
• Demonstrated ability to supervise trainees
• Knowledge of developmental issues in University populations
• Intermediate computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Suite, virtual meeting platforms)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Critical thinking and organizational skills
• Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize, and manage multiple clinical, consultation, and/or outreach situations
• Ability to coordinate efforts as part of a multidisciplinary team

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Counseling psychology
• Clinical psychology
• Counseling related field
Experience Required:
• Doctoral degree from an APA or CPA accredited program
• Completion of an APA accredited doctoral internship in health service psychology
• License-eligible as a psychologist (or licensed as a psychologist)
**Experience**
Other:
• Minimum of three years professional experience in a mental health setting with at least one year in a student counseling or student mental health setting
• Administrative/Leadership experience
• Ability to work in and with large complex systems
