The University of Arizona seeks an early career scientist with a background in organic geochemistry, statistics, and Bayesian modeling to conduct analyses of paleoclimate biomarker data. The successful candidate will lead research focused on reconstructing past climate changes using biomarkers, present findings at national and international meetings, and prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Proficient with laboratory analysis techniques for biomarkers.
• Proficient with statistical analysis using Python.
• Ability to present examples of peer-reviewed publications.
• Demonstrate experience in innovative research.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with Python, Matlab, or other programming languages (preferred).
• Experience with biomarker temperature proxy data (preferred).
• Experience with lab techniques to generate biomarker proxy data (preferred).
• Experience with Bayesian modeling (preferred).
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Geosciences
• Related field (Ph.D. must be attained by time of hire)
