**Job Description**
The Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communications is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Research Associate to join an NIH-funded interdisciplinary research project. This project focuses on social media use and mental health of adolescents from representative racial and/or ethnic minority groups, employing advanced research methods to explore how social media experiences and mental health evolve and influence each other across daily to yearly time frames. The ultimate goal is to promote positive development among youth through healthy use of social media while minimizing its potential harm.

• Extensive experience in quantitative research design and methods, psychological/developmental/social media research, and engaging culturally diverse populations (Preferred).
• Experience with ecological momentary assessment, smartphone-based tracking, or screenshot capture methods (Preferred).
• Experience applying machine learning techniques to a variety of data types such as with time-series data or image data (Preferred).
• Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and manage complex research projects effectively (Preferred).
• Ability to work collaboratively with both junior and senior researchers, professionals, volunteers, adolescents and caregivers in a culturally appropriate manner (Preferred).
• Strong record of scientific writing/publications is desirable (Preferred).

• Psychology
• Developmental Sciences
• Human Development and Family Studies
• Sociology
• Communication
• Public Health or a related field focusing on digital life and mental health
