**Job Description**
The Alonso Lab in the UNT BioDiscovery Institute is seeking a Research Assistant to work on a project funded by the US Department of Agriculture. This project aims to improve oil content in the industrial oilseed crop Physaria fendleri (Lesquerella). The selected candidate will collaborate within a team to cultivate Lesquerella plants, perform daily hand-pollination, tag new flowers, collect embryos, and conduct sterile embryo cultures. Additionally, the role involves assisting with biomass extraction and analysis.
