**Job Description**
The Research Assistant will work under general supervision to plan and execute projects for a collaborative research group across the Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology. Primary responsibilities include the organization and management of multiple small to moderate clinical research projects at Case Western Reserve University and in the community, along with coordinating project requirements and associated personnel.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Knowledge of research protocols.
• Knowledge of and/or experience administering psychological assessments (preferred).
• Knowledge of diagnostic criteria of various mental disorders (preferred).
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
• Experience using REDCap and/or other EDC program (a plus).
• Professional and effective oral and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills to work and communicate with diverse individuals.
• Effective problem-solving skills, demonstrating sound judgment and good decision-making.
• Strong organization skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize, meet deadlines, and demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and follow-through.
• Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, changing environment, conforming to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
• Willingness to learn new techniques, procedures, processes, and computer programs as needed.
• Demonstrated history of successful support, education, and advocacy for all students.
• Ability to meet consistent attendance.
• Ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors, and customers face to face.
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Psychology
• Biotechnology (approved program)
• Related field
**Experience**
Experience Required:
• 1 to 3 years (Bachelor’s degree)
• 2 to 4 years (Associate’s degree)
Other:
• Working with mentally ill and/or disadvantaged populations required
