**Job Description**
The Department of Anesthesiology at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) is seeking an accomplished and motivated individual for a full-time research faculty position. The desired applicant would develop and run a successful NIH-funded laboratory focused on chronic pain, overlapping pain conditions, and/or fields related to anesthesiology (e.g., sleep). This individual will be expected to have national or emerging national recognition for their work and contribute to UNC’s research mission and department growth by collaborating with and mentoring other learners and researchers, serving on the departmental research committee, and occasionally teaching research workshops and courses. The position offers access to a collaborative interdisciplinary research environment, state-of-the-art facilities, resources, and Department support.
