Research Assistant

**Job Description**
The appointee will assist the project leader in a research project focused on using machine learning to identify the impact of corporate culture on audit outcomes. Responsibilities include exploring and understanding large job posting datasets, extracting and matching postings to publicly listed companies, constructing a panel dataset, and assisting with data cleaning, organization, and preliminary analysis.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Proficient in Python, R, or Stata
• Experience with SQL, Spark, or distributed computing frameworks
• Ability to work independently, taking initiative, and demonstrating problem-solving skills
• Excellent organisational skills and attentive to details
• Familiarity with text data/natural language processing methods (desirable)

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Data Science
• Related quantitative field

**Experience**
Other:
• Proven experience in handling large-scale datasets
• Prior work experience with firm-level datasets (e.g., Compustat, CRSP, Audit Analytics)
• Experience in building panels or working with unstructured text
