**Job Description**
This trainee position focuses on conducting research in microbial and chemical food safety, emphasizing novel materials, advanced technologies, and antimicrobial interventions. The role involves designing and executing experiments, developing innovative food safety methods, analyzing microbial responses, preparing grant proposals, publishing manuscripts, and mentoring students. The fellow will also interpret data, present research outcomes, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and assist with lab management.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Demonstrated background in developing, testing, or evaluating new technologies or methods.
• Hands-on experience with data collection, processing, statistical analysis, and interpretation.
• Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and adjust work plans in response to shifting goals and timelines.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
• Proficiency in personal computer software and research statistical applications.

Required Degree(s) in:
• Science
• Engineering

• Public Health
• Related fields

**Experience**
