**Job Description**
This Ph.D. program focuses on developing novel photonic measurement techniques based on interferometry and nonlinear optics to enable spectroscopic measurement of molecules in biological fluids and gases. It involves substantial further development of key femtosecond technologies through a Max-Planck-Fraunhofer project in cooperation with the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics. The research, conducted within the LightwaveLab, explores fundamental aspects of light at the quantum limit and applies spectroscopic tools to human medicine, biology, and industrial material characterisation.
