**Job Description**
A postdoctoral fellowship position in cancer immunology and immunotherapy is available at the Center for Advanced Innate Cell Therapy within the Texas Children’s Cancer Center. The Postdoctoral Associate will be responsible for completing experiments, data analysis, and manuscript preparation related to the IL18 mediated enhancement of CAR NKT anti-tumor activity project. The ideal candidate will be a relatively recent graduate eager to contribute to advanced projects involving IL18 mediated CAR NKT enhancement.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Ability to assess scRNAseq datasets and highly parametric flow cytometry.
• Understanding and practicing genetic engineering techniques (transfection, retroviral / lentiviral transduction, transposition, CRISPR-Cas9).
• Viral particle assembly.
• Excellent aseptic cell culture technique.
• Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn in a fast-pace, collaborative environment.
• Strong organizational skills, record keeping, and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Basic Science
• Health Science
• Related field
**Experience**
Experience Required:
• No experience required.
Other:
• Some experience with CAR T or CAR NKT (preferred).
• Relatively new grad (preferred).
• Great fund of knowledge of tumor immunology principles (preferred).
