**Job Description**
The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) at the University of Nebraska Medical Center seeks a postdoctoral research associate for a lab focusing on brain cancer therapeutics. The research involves developing and validating preclinical models for neuro-oncological diseases, including a laser interstitial thermal therapy mouse model and studies on blood-brain barrier breakdown in patient-derived xenograft mouse glioma models. Current work centers on engineering nanoparticles for targeted laser therapeutics, exploring new drug discovery for pediatric high-grade gliomas using connectivity mapping, and developing a new syngeneic mouse model. The lab aims to devise novel treatments through new drug trials, the study of the tumor immune microenvironment, and laser therapies. The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to these projects utilizing new technologies.
