**Job Description**
This role involves working on a UKRI-funded Mental Health Research Hub to improve care and outcomes for individuals with complex emotions, such as Borderline Personality Disorder. The Research Assistant will support the Research Fellow and Hub Director in delivering the research program, collaborating with partners including the Lived Experience Advisory Panel. Responsibilities include contributing to research ethics applications, delivering qualitative and quantitative work packages, engaging with diverse stakeholders, and supporting dissemination efforts.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Essential experience of using both qualitative and quantitative research methods
• Undertaking qualitative interviews
• Designing and administering online surveys using software such as RedCap
• Experience of undertaking research on sensitive topics and with vulnerable and seldom heard groups
• Collaborative work with people with lived experience of mental illness as research partners
• Experience of recruiting mental health service users and mental health professionals to research studies
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Health services
• Related subject
**Experience**

• Experience of health or social care research in a related field
• Experience of working with people with mental health problems or other vulnerabilities
• May be required to obtain an ATAS Certificate prior to research being undertaken
