**Job Description**
The University of Surrey is seeking a Research Associate in experimental nuclear physics to support its programmes in both nuclear structure physics and nuclear astrophysics. The successful candidate will join a diverse group, focusing their programme on the overlap between nuclear structure and nuclear astrophysics.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Experience with data analysis using the ROOT analysis package (advantage)
• Experience performing and analysing experiments with gamma-ray and charged-particle spectroscopy (advantage)
• Knowledge of Coulomb excitation and/or gamma-ray spectroscopy of exotic nuclei (advantage)

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Experimental Nuclear Physics (PhD or nearing completion)

**Experience**
Other:
• Proven track record of contributions in nuclear physics including the preparation of manuscripts for publication and conference contributions
